Stothers was proud to get behind a recent Carrickfergus initiative to raise much needed funds for the 1 in 3 Cancer Support Group.
Barn United Youth Football Club lost the much-respected Paul Neill to cancer in February of this year. Several current and past players decided to honour his memory and raise some much-needed funds in the process for the Carrickfergus based 1 in 3 Cancer Support Group, who greatly supported the Neill family through their difficult time. A football match comprising both past and current team members as well as family members, took to the football field on 23rd April in a fund-raising event for the charity.
Stothers was proud to have been able to contribute in some measure and sponsored the home team on the day. A cheque for £2,500 was presented to the charity due to the fund-raising efforts of all and the club are delighted that even more sponsorship has continued to pour in, so the total raised will approach almost £3,000.
